My husband tells me that our son will not ever be allowed to have a video game or personal computer?
He says computers at school are fine, but he will never be allowed to have one in our home. He also says he can never own a video game of any kind. He is including fancy phones in the mix as well, lol. I tell him not to worry because our son is only 18 months, but he forbids it. He has a son who is 23 who is lazy and fat, but my husband and his ex divorced when he was very young, so according to him, her mother let him sit around and watch video games and eat, and drink dr. peppers.
Isn’t it a little much to ban them completely? My mom was going to buy him one of those kids video learning games, and my husband just forbids it. He says he needs to play outside like a real child and not sit inside with his free time.
Well we wouldn’t buy one for the house because we don’t play them. My husband and I know nothing about them, but I am talking about when he asks for them by himself.
I agree with him. Video games turn kids into vegetables. Video games were not meant to be a baby sitter. Playing outside is what most of us did before the video age took over. It won’t kill him to play outside. My kids do, and they are normal kids. Maybe you should take a lesson in parenting from your husband. He seems to more how it works.

Darby O’Gill and the Little People $5.41 Purportedly one of Walt Disney’s most personal pet projects, Darby O’Gill shows the effort and care put into it. Even now the special effects hold up shockingly well. Darby O’Gill is an estate caretaker, but in his advanced years he’s more fond of telling tall tales in the local pub about the wee folk than keeping the grounds. A new man (a very youthful Sean Connery) is sent in to take his place, … |
