Do you think that piracy of copy righted products as immoral if the original is not available?
I live in a small countries South Asia and almost no original (books, movies, software, video games, hell, even video game consoles) is available here. We have protection of very loose copyright, if any, and piracy is thriving in urban areas and instead of paying triple the cost of production for a blank CD burned with a pirated movie or book, I can download torrents for free. Most manufacturers are aware that international demand for its products are lower then do not bother to sell legitimate products. While other rivers, the only way for me to get the products is spending a small fortune in shipping and handling (The conversion rate for my dollars into local currency is ridiculously disproportionate) on DVD at amazon.com and wait a month arrives. Netflix and other online retailers like iTunes or eBay, where I could get a little cheaper product does not work here. So, would you consider Piracy my error?
Copyright infringement is a matter of law, not morality. Counterfeiting can be good or bad in a moral sense, but in a legal sense, is always bad. If you live in a country without the protection of copyright, or where activities involving not illegal, then you free to pursue these activities, whether legal or not. If the activities are illegal, you risk a lawsuit or jail if he continues to participate. It's as simple as that.

The Parent Trap (Special Edition) $5.56 If you were a kid in the early 1960s, then you saw The Parent Trap with Hayley Mills–it’s as simple as that. Now Disney has pulled the beloved comedy–about a pair of twins who meet for the first time at summer camp and vow to reunite their long-divorced parents–out of the mothballs and remade it with a decidedly ’90s feel.
